I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from Wheaton College near Chicago with a degree in English literature. Following college, I worked as a writer for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries for four years.
I moved home to Birmingham in 2007 and took a job at Beeson Divinity School where I did marketing, communications and editing. I also took classes, and graduated with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 2015.
Bernard Nicholas Howard swept me off my feet, married me, and brought me to New York City.We planted Good Shepherd Anglican Church on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in March 2017, and we have two young sons. I work as an editor for The Gospel Coalition.
I’m the author of Seasons of Waiting: Walking by Faith When Dreams Are Delayed , Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up, Polly and the Screen Time Overload as well as several other children’s books.
I’ve been walking with Jesus since I was a small child, and I trust that by his grace, I will walk with him until the end.
